TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Deut. 6:6-9; 1 Tim. 5:21-22; 2 Tim.1: 13; 2:1-4; 4:1-6; Titus 2:1-8.
MEMORISE: And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 2 Tim. 2:2
MESSAGE: Ours is a generation of hi tech. The world has recorded tremendous fascinating changes. Currently, Richard Branson has concluded plans to fully commence space travels in his Virgin Galactic plane early next year at a whopping cost of $200,000 (N 100,000,000) per person and over 600 persons have already booked for the novel flight.
Almost every sector of life has moved from the analogue to digital, and now space, with much expectations to move to the “wishful” stage, where you only imagine, long or wish and it materializes.
Various attempts have been made to circumvent our Christian old time pure religion practice to a model approach all because they fail to understand that the word is ever new and light years ahead of any human developmental strides.
1 Kings 28:41-46; Acts 8:39-40 Clearly exemplifies “Heaven Travel Agency” without human mechanism. Let’s not boast of traveling to space!
THE CHARGE FOR STEADFASTNESS
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. 2 Tim. 3:14
Apostle Paul through the leadership of the Holy Spirit had foreseen the possibility of desecrating the sanctity of the scriptures and hence tackled such possible diversions in most of his pastoral letters to Timothy and Titus. We shall attempt to look at a few of them.
- We must remain focused and instant in season and out of season. The word cannot be affected by change of environment nor influenced by civilization. 2 Tim. 4:1-2
- He appropriately forecast a generation like ours that will arise and fight, rebel and revolt against the truth preferring to hear what pleases them. 2 Tim 4:3
- He further warned of the possibility of a time to come when people will abandon the truth and go for what only gratifies the flesh.2 Tim. 4:4
- He enjoined us to be apt, rising up to the challenges of ministry, enduring affliction to retain the integrity of the word.

Have you ever made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life?
If not, pray this prayer and start a new life in Christ.
Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
