SCRIPTURE UNION DAILY GUIDE 21 DECEMBER 2022 MESSAGE
To demonstrate his renewed devotion to God, king Josiah at a young age of 26, celebrated the Passover in a way that was never done before and attended by multitudes of people from Judah and also Israel (v.18; similar to Hezekiah’s celebration in chapter 30).

Observe how everything was done to the finest detail as God commanded through Moses (vs.6,12,13) with each man at his proper place (vs.2‐6, 10‐15). Is there anything you can learn from the way they organised the event? Refer to the amazing planning and organization and the amount of love they put into it.
According to Exodus 12:3, a lamb was sacrificed per household. Josiah demonstrated great generosity by providing 30,000 lambs and young goats and 3,000 bulls from his own herds and flocks.
The generosity of the leader prompted the generosity of the officials as itemised in vs.8‐9. As a leader or a follower, what prompts you to give to the work of the Lord? Compare 2 Corinthians 9:6‐7.

Salvation Prayer
Have you ever made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life?
If not, pray this prayer and start a new life in Christ.
Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
