Dunamis Seeds of Destiny January 5, 2023 SOD Devotional Message for Thursday By Dr. Paul EnencheSeeds of Destiny January 5, 2023 SOD Devotional MESSAGE

TOPIC: What To Put Behind To Access What Is Ahead

SCRIPTURE: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To access what is ahead of you, there are things to put behind you.

Seeds of Destiny January 5, 2023 SOD Devotional MESSAGE

From our previous studies, we have been exploring what to do to make the most of a new season. We have looked at Praise as one of the things to do to make the most of a new season. This involves praising God for what He had done for you in times past.

In our study today, we shall look at another thing to do in order to make the most of a new season, and that is, identifying what to put behind you.

To make the most of this new season, you must identify what to put behind you. Identify your posteriorities.

Philippians 3:13-14 says,
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Beloved, to access what is ahead of you, there are things to put behind you. If you must gain access to what is ahead of you, there are things that you will have to put behind you.

In Genesis 15:13-14, we understand that when Abraham put Lot behind him, God told him (Abraham) to lift up his eyes to see the land he was meant to have.

Beloved, there are things God cannot give you until some things are put behind you. It may be a habit, business type, relationship, connection or association like the case of Lot and Abraham. You must put behind you things that take your time, energy, resources, attention, and thought without adding anything to your life. You must put them behind to experience a new season.

REMEMBER THIS: To access what is ahead of you, there are things to put behind you.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Identify what to put behind you to access a new season in your life.
2. Put behind what you have identified in number 1 above.

PRAYER: Father, I ask for Your Help to put behind every limiting lifestyle so I can access what is ahead of me, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: When a man has a vision for tomorrow, it gives him strength and wisdom for today. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Genesis 21-25.

AMAZING FACT: The world’s fastest airplane is the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, flying at 2,193 miles per hour. It has held the record for nearly 40 years.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Grace to put behind things that can make you to go forward be released for you in Jesus Name.

Salvation Prayer

Have you ever made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life?

If not, pray this prayer and start a new life in Christ.

Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
