FIRE SCRIPTURE:Β Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

MFM Daily Devotional 17th February 2023 MESSAGE

In continuation of yesterday’s discourse, we shall be looking into each piece of the whole armour and what is required of us as Christian soldiers.

Let us start from the head. No soldier goes to war without a cover on his head. An unguarded head can be hit by a stray bullet. Hence, soldiers wear a helmet to protect their heads from all attacks. The same goes for the Christian soldier, who wears the Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:17a). This indicates that the first thing that qualifies you, as a child of God, is your salvation in God through Christ Jesus. Without this divine helmet, you are not worthy to go for battle. Are you truly saved? Jesus is the Captain of Hosts who leads you into every battle and never leaves you unguarded, without Him, disaster is imminent.

We usually sing this song here in Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries: β€œWhen I go in the name of Jesus into any battle, I am a winner.” It is an undeniable fact that, having received your salvation through Christ, your head is under divine covering away from every satanic bullet or any kind of attack at all.

Another piece of the armour is the Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 14b). The breastplate is usually positioned on the chest of the soldier. As said earlier, it will amount to foolishness if a soldier goes to war bare-breasted. There is need for a cover or what is called bullet proof jacket in today’s parlance. What is our bullet proof jacket as Christian soldiers? It is standing on the righteousness of Christ. We do not have a righteousness of our own. The Bible considers every self- righteousness to be nothing but rags! To stand in this divine position, therefore, you must be a Christian that does not toy with sin, neither romance iniquity. Rather, you should stand firmly in Christ alone, blameless and justified by grace.

Beloved, are you worthy to wear these two pieces in readiness for spiritual battles? Can Jesus be confident of your right standing in Him? Is your salvation intact? Are you living a righteous life that the accuser of brethren, the prince of this world, cannot find anything in you if he comes searching? May you be so qualified, in the name of Jesus.

  1. Bullets of the wicked assigned against my life, backfire by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. My salvation shall not be rubbished by wicked powers, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I receive divine confidence to overthrow every satanic wisdom assigned to ridicule my life, in the name of Jesus.

  1. I resist every satanic arsenal by the bullet proof jacket of fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. O God, arise and build Your wall of fire to defend me against satanic onslaught, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I arise and put the enemies of my life to flight, by the power of God, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Enemies of my existence, arise; face yourselves and destroy yourselves, in the name of Jesus.

Salvation Prayer

Have you ever made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life?

If not, pray this prayer and start a new life in Christ.

Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that β€œJesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
